When you use EchoType, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: your phone number (for registration and sign-in) and device identifiers.

• Usage data: aggregate statistics such as how often voice input and specific features are used. This is used to improve the product and is not tied to the content of your input.

• Payment information: purchases are processed by third-party payment providers. EchoType does not store your payment passwords or bank card numbers.

Voice recognition is performed by cloud-based AI. After processing is complete, our servers do not retain the raw content of your input.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• To provide core input-method features, including voice recognition, AI text refinement, and schedule extraction.

• To manage membership subscriptions and entitlements.

• To send necessary service notifications, such as account-security alerts and subscription-expiry reminders.

• To maintain the security and integrity of the service and to comply with applicable law.

We share information only with vendors that help us operate the service — for example, cloud hosting, payment providers, and our third-party AI service provider, Alibaba Cloud Bailian (Tongyi Qianwen / Qwen), which processes your voice and related text to generate speech-to-text and AI-refinement results — and only as needed to perform those functions on our behalf.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public.

We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

All data is transmitted using HTTPS encryption and stored on security-audited cloud infrastructure. We review our safeguards regularly to guard against unauthorized access.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access or delete it, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of certain processing.

• You can view and edit your personal information at any time on your account page.

• You can contact us to delete your account and associated data.

• You can opt out of non-essential data collection.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

EchoType is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
